Barb is a
registered
nurse. She
began her career
at Middlemore
Hospital and has
worked at
Auckland and
North Shore
Hospitals and in
Perth,
Australia.
Barb has been
with the
Auckland Heart
Group since 1996
where she
performs
treadmills on
patients for
cardiologists
in clinics at
Epsom and on the
North Shore.
She also helps
with holter and
blood pressure
monitoring.
Barb has
extensive
medical nursing
experience
including
emergency
medicine,
coronary and
intensive care
nursing.
She has
continued her
education,
participating in
a variety of
postgraduate
courses.
In addition to
cardiology, she
is very much
interested in
patient
education, wound
care and
diabetes
mellitus.
To keep fit,
Barb enjoys
swimming.
She is a lover
of hot weather;
she describes
herself as a
'hot house
plant'! |
